Seeme and I met in May of 1998 and on July 5, 1998 we became life-long partners. An Australian Sheppard and Border Collie, mix Seeme was a rambunctious, curious, loyal, and sweet puppy that enjoyed racing and exploring an expanse of 20 acres of vineyard during our first year together. She quickly learned to sit, fetch, stay, catch, and give high-fives, and I quickly learned that exercise and attention were a #1 must for a pup bred to work 12 hours a day.

Story of Seeme

Seeme and I traveled most places together, attending potlucks at the lake, gatherings at the beach, picnics in the park, coffee-runs, neighborhood errands, friend's places, and of course moving to new homes.

Seeme enjoyed her first year in the NoCal country and then set off with me on urban adventures that had us exploring off-leash laws and parks from San Francisco, CA to Brooklyn, NY. Baker Beach and Crissy Fields were our top SF favorites and Prospect Park in Brooklyn can't be beat for their entire park off-leash hours from 5p.m. - 9a.m. everyday. Seeme and I traveled together from SF to NYC 4 times (2 trips w/only she and I), so Seeme swam in oceans, lakes, streams, rivers, and ponds, she ran and fetched on sand, lawns, and trails across the entire United States. In 2006 we went to Niagra Falls together, so she also traveled to Canada! Seeme made friends everywhere with her attentive gaze, happy smile, and energetic spirit; people and pups across the country wanted to cuddle, rough house, and play frisbee with my girl.

Seeme and I first moved to SF in 2000 then to Brooklyn in 2002, and finally returning to California in 2008. It was great to bring Seeme home to the coast of her childhood, and we fell back into our west coast rhythms, quickly becoming regulars at Crissy Fields and around our Inner Richmond neighborhood. In the fall of 2009 Seeme developed a blood disease that we fought for 3 months and unfortunately lost the battle on January 9, 2010; she was almost 12 years old. 

I had never loved a companion as much as my Seeme, she taught me endless life lessons and helped me to be a better person everyday by letting me take care of her. I hope everyday that I gave her a fraction of the love and support I felt from her as my animal companion and that she knew how irreplaceable she was and remains to be to this day.

The opportunity to See, Know, and Love Seeme was a blessing that changed my life, and I hope to share my love for dogs with your beloved companion.
